Nadine Hughes is a renaissance woman whose forte is making food fun again. Nadine has years of experience as a successful entrepreneur, caterer, food and entertaining expert, cooking instructor and food writer. When she’s not experimenting with her two kids’ palettes on fish heads and kohlrabi, Nadine frequently appears as a television and radio guest discussing food, entertaining and how family fits into it all. She has made frequent appearances on CTV Marilyn Denis Show, CityTV Breakfast Television, CJAD 800/CFRB 1010, CTStv Real Life, Rogers daytime and is a proud spokesperson for such great Canadian brands as Minute Maid.

Nadine continues to expand her food business family as the owner and operator of Dinner At Home Meals and Thrive Café & Food Shop.

As a freelance food writer, Nadine's food columns can be found in numerous online and print publications throughout North America. Nadine's first cookbook "The Groove Mamma Goes Gourmet: Easy Ways to Put the Fun Back into Entertaining" was awarded The Best Canadian Entertaining Cookbook at the 2009 Gourmand Cookbook Awards. 

Employment History
Nadine is an enterprising business executive with over 20 years’ experience in company start-ups, account management, marketing and performance improvement. She has particular strengths in public speaking, senior level client management and negotiation practices. In addition to her well-rounded background in business development, logistics, marketing and human resources, Nadine has been instrumental in 2 successful international start up companies, the first of which was successfully sold to Shell Petroleum Australia. As a testament to her entrepreneurial energy and spirit, Nadine was nominated for Entrepreneur of the Year at the 2009 Oakville Awards for Business Excellence. 

Personally and professionally, Nadine is a strong believer of giving back to the community within which you live. With great enthusiasm and commitment, Nadine is a past board member and current supporter of the Oakville Hospital Foundation, a Director of The Honey Harbour Association, Volunteer Director of The Honey Harbour Day Camp for Children, Co-founder of Empty Cupboards in Support of the Salvation Army and supports numerous charities through volunteer work, donations and appearancs.
